Determined according to the botanical key provided in Flora Europaea Vol. 3 (Tutin et al., 1972) as Veronica hederifolia subsp. triloba (Opiz) Čelak. In The Euro+Med PlanBase (Marhold, 2011+) this taxon is accepted at the species level.
Lifeform: Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.
Distribution: Native from Central and South Europe to Turkey according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).
Habitat: Dry grassland, rocky terrains, disturbed ground, alongside roads and footpaths, near orchards.
Flowering period: Late winter- spring: FEB, MAR, APR, MAY.
