Lifeform: Tuberous perennial. Hemicryptophyte – geophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from France to Turkey according to the Plants of the World online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Forests and shrubland.

Flowering period: Late summer- autumn: AUG, SEP, OCT.
