Taxonomy: Fam. Clusiaceae// Genus: Hypericum// Species: Hypericum rumeliacum Boiss. The classification is given according to The Euro+Med PlanBase (source: Marhold, 2011).

Determined according to the botanical key provided in The Flora of the Republic of Macedonia (Micevski, 1995).

Lifeform: Perennial; Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to Southeast Europe – Balkan Peninsula to Romania according to the distribution information by The Euro+Med PlanBase (source: Marhold, 2011).

Habitat: Bushlands, clearings and edges of mixed oak forrests, rocky terrains, river gorges.

Flowering period: Late spring – summer: MAY, JUN, JUL.
