Distribution: Native from Hungary to the Balkan Peninsula according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Hörandl & Raab-Straube, 2015) and the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens Kew).

Habitat:  Grasslands, pastures, clearings of oak and European beech forests, up to c. 1500 m altitude.

Flowering period: Spring – early summer: MAY, JUN.

Locality: ridge between Kochanska” River and “Orizarska” River.

Locality: Ponikva.
