Lifeform: Perennial; hemicryptophyte – according to the  Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Spain and France to the Balkan Peninsula according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: World Checklist of Selected Plant Families, 2010).

Habitat: Grasslands, pastures, sparce woods, edges and clearings of oak and European beech forests. Recorded from c. 500 up to 1600 m altitude. Recorded in several localities: lake “Gradche”, village of Pantelej region, village of Leshki region, Ponikva, Ratkova skala- village of Ratkovica region, Sinkovica.

Flowering period: Spring – early summer: MAY, JUL.
