Determined according to the botanical key provided in Flora Europaea Vol. 4 (Tutin et al., 1976) as Anthemis austriaca Jacq., FI. Austr. 5: 22 (1778). The accepted name in The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Greuter, 2006+) is Cota austriaca (Jacq.) Sch. Bip. in Österr. Bot. Wochenbl. 4: 155. 1854.

Lifeform: Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Europe to Iran; Tunisia according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Grasslands/pastures and disturbed ground- cultivated land, ruderal areas.

Flowering period: Spring- summer: APR, MAY, JUN.
