Taxonomy: Fam. Chenopodiaceae// Genus: Chenopodium// Species: Chenopodium opulifolium W. D. J. Koch & Ziz.

Determined according to the botanical key provided in The Flora of the Republic of Macedonia (Micevski, 1995).

Lifeform:  Annual, therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Europe to West Siberia, Mediterranean to West Himalaya, Arabian Peninsula and South Tropical Africa according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Disturbed ground- near cultivated land, orchards, roadsides, footpaths, and other ruderal areas.

Flowering period:  Summer – fall: JUL, AUG, SEP, OCT.
