Determined according to the botanical key provided in Flora Europaea Vol. 5 (Tutin et al., 1980).

Distribution: Native from Europe to Central Asia, Pakistan, Arabian Peninsula, Tropical and South Africa according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Open habitats- grasslands, pastures, rocky terrains.

Lifeform: Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Flowering period: Summer: JUL, AUG.
