Distribution: The native range of this species is Balkan Peninsula to Ukraine according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Valdés & Raab-Straube, 2011+) and the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).
Habitat: Grasslands and disturbed ground.
Flowering period: Spring – early summer: APR, MAY, JUN.
