Distribution: Native from Central Asia to North and Central China according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew). Not native to North Macedonia – cultivated for fruit (apricot). In the Osogovo region it can be found in cultivation and sub-spontaneously as a garden escape.
Habitat: Commonly cultivated fruit tree. It can be found sporadically as a garden escape near settlements, orchards, ruderal areas, rocky terrains.
Flowering period: Spring: MAR, APR, depending on altitude.
