Taxonomy: Fam. Lamiaceae// Genus: Ajuga// Species: Ajuga laxmannii (L.) Benth.

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Ball in Tutin et al. (1972) and Kostadinovski in Matevski (2021).

Lifeform: Perrenial; Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Slovakia to Balkan Peninsula, Türkiye, North Caucasus and Central European Russia according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Sparse woods and clearings of oak forest and rocky terrains.

Flowering period: Spring: APR, MAY.
