Lifeform: Perennial plant. Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from East Central and Southeast Europe to Ukraine according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Greuter, 2006+) and the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Subalpine pastures at c. 1900 m altitude and above. Recorded in the region of Carev vrv peak.
