Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Webb and Ferguson in Tutin et al. (1968) and Micevski in Micevski (2005) .

Lifeform: Annual; therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Europe to West Himalaya and India; Northwest Africa according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Along footpaths, near orchards, edges of pine plantations, among trees and bushes. Plant usually associated with disturbed ground.

Flowering period: Late spring – summer: MAY, JUN.
