Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Pawlowska (1964 in Tutin et al.) and Miceski (1998).

Lifeform: Perennial; Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to the Balkan Peninsula according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (Marhold, 2011+) and the Plants of the World online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Wet habitats – along streams in the subalpine belt. Found in the region of the springs of “Bela” River below “Carev vrv” peak at c.1800 -1900 m altitude.

Flowering period: Spring – early summer: MAY, JUN.
