Determined according to the botanical key provided by Grau and Merxmüller in Tutin et al. (1972) and Matevski and Melovski in Matevski (2010).

Lifeform: Perennial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to the Balkan Peninsula according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med PlantBase (Valdés & Raab-Straube, 2011+) and the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Subalpine pastures.

Flowering period: Spring – summer: MAY, JUN.
