Ornithogalum divergens Boreau

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Zahariadi in Tutin et al. (1980).

Lifeform: Bulbous perennial. Geophyte according to the  Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Central Europe to the Mediterranean according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew) and The Euro+Med PlantBase (Raab-Straube, 2022+).

Habitat: Open habitats – grasslands, clearings of European beech forests, subalpine pastures, from c. 1400 m altitude up to the highest peaks.

Flowering period: Late spring – early summer: MAY, JUN.

Locality: Ponikva. Date: 04.06.2023.

Locality: “Retki buki” region. Date: 24.05.2024.
