Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Rechinger in Tutin et al. (1964) and Micevski (1995).

Lifeform: Perennial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Central Europe to Balkan Peninsula and Caucasus according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew). Also native to Moldova and Italy according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (Uotila, 2017+).

Habitat: Wet habitats – found along “Kochanska” River.

Flowering period: Late spring – summer: MAY, JUN.
