Lifeform: Perennial – hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.
Distribution: Native from South Central and Southeast Europe to Sicily and Türkiye according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew). Also native to France according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: World Checklist of Selected Plant Families, 2010).
Habitat: Open habitats – grasslands, rocks, mountain pastures, clearings of European beech forests.
Flowering period: Summer: JUN, JUL.
