Taxonomy: Fam. Chenopodiaceae// Genus: Chenopodiastrum// Species: Chenopodiastrum murale (L.) S. Fuentes & al.

Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Brenan (1964, in Tutin et al.) and Micevski (1995) as Chenopodium murale L., Sp. Pl. 219 (1753). The accepted name in The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Uotila, 2011+) is Chenopodiastrum murale (L.) S. Fuentes & al. in Willdenowia 42: 14. 2012.

Lifeform:  Annual plant. Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Macaronesia, Europe, Mediterranean to Northeast Tropical Africa and Sri Lanka according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Disturbed ground – ruderal areas in Kochani region.

Flowering period:  Late summer – autumn: AUG, SEP, OCT.
