Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Brenan in Tutin et al. (1964) and Micevski in Micevski (1995) as Chenopodium ambrosioides L., Sp. Pl. 219 (1753). The accepted name in The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Uotila, 2011+) is Dysphania ambrosioides (L.) Mosyakin & Clemants in Ukrayins’k. Bot. Žurn. 59: 382. 2002.
Lifeform: Annual, therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.
Distribution: Native from South USA to South America and Subantartic Island; introduced in elsewhere according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).
Habitat: Disturbed ground – ruderal and urban areas.
Flowering period: Late summer – autumn: AUG, SEP, OCT.
