Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Chater and Heywood in Tutin et al. (1964) and Micevski (1993).

Lifeform: Perennial, hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.

Habitat: European beech forests, on moist places – along mountain streams and rivers.

Distribution: Native from Europe to Iran, Mongolia to North Central China according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Flowering period: Late spring – summer: MAY, JUN.

Locality: Ponikva – springs of “Venecka” River.

Locality: “Emirichka” River region.
