Taxonomy: Fam. Poaceae// Genus: Drymochloa// Species: Drymochloa drymeja (Mert. & W. D. J. Koch) Holub.

Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Tatić in Josifović (1976) and Markgraf-Dannenberg in Tutin et al. (1980) as Festuca drymeja Mert. & Koch in Rohling, Deutschl. Fl. ed. 3, 1: 670 (1823). The accepted name in The Euro+Med PlantBase (Foggi & Müller (2009+) in Valdés et al.) is Drymochloa drymeja (Mert. & W. D. J. Koch) Holub, in Folia Geobot. Phytotax. 19: 99. 1984.

Lifeform: Perrenial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Central Europe to the Mediterranean and Iran according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Habitat: European beech forests.

Flowering period: Summer: JUN, JUL.
