Taxonomy: Fam. Plantaginaceae// Genus: Antirrhinum // Species: Antirrhinum majus L.// subspecies: Antirrhinum majus L. subsp. majus. The classification is given according to the Euro+Med PlanBase (source: Marhold, 2011+).

Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Webb. in Tutin et al. (1972).

Lifeform: Perrenial; Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to South Central France, East Pyrenees to Northeast Spain, Baleares according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew); also native to Tunisia and Türkiye according to The Euro+Med PlanBase (source: Marhold, 2011+). Not native to the Osogovo region- introduced species.

Habitat: Cultivated ornamental not native to the Osogovo region. Found as garden escape and ruderal plant in and near settlements, ruderal areas, wasteland, roadsides, old walls.

Flowering period: Late spring – fall: MAY, JUN, JUL, AUG, SEP, OCT.
