Distribution: Native to Southeast Europe and parts of West Asia – from Italy to Iran according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Edges and clearings of oak forests in the Svilanovo region.

Flowering period: Summer: JUL, AUG.
