Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Micevski (2001) and Ball (1968 in Tutin et al.).

Lifeform: Perennial plant. Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to Azores, West Europe to the Mediterranean and Caucasus, Pakistan to West Himalaya according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Hill pastures in rural areas. Recorded in the hilly region between Kochani and Orizari.

Flowering period:  Spring (APR, MAY).
