Potentilla detommasii Ten. (syn. Potentilla suskalovicii Adamović)

Taxonomy: Fam. Rosaceae// Genus: Potentilla// Species: Potentilla detommasii Ten.

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Micevski (1998) as Potentilla suskalovicii Adamović. In The Euro+Med Plantbase, this taxon is considered a synonym of  P. detommasii Ten.

Potentilla suskalovicii differs from the typical form of P. detommasii by the wooly indumentum on both sides of the leaves.

Lifeform:  Perennial plant. Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Potentilla detommasii is native to Italy, Southeast Europe to Türkiye according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew) and The Euro+Med PlantBase (Kurtto, 2009+).

Habitat: Open and dry habitats – hill pastures.

Recorded in the hilly region between Kochani and Orizari.

Flowering period:  Spring (MAY).
