Determined according to the botanical key provided by Ball (1968 in Tutin et al.) and Micevski (2001).

Lifeform: Annual plant. Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to Europe to the Mediterranean and Iran, Northwest Africa according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Clearings of forests in the Querco-carpinetum orientalis association zone. Recorded in the Zletovska River basin – hills between the Shtalkovicha River and the Eshterec Stream (Stari Grad region).

Flowering period: Spring to summer (MAY, JUN).

Locality: Stari Grad – hills between the Shtalkovicha River and the Eshterec Stream (Zletovska River basin). Date: 25.05.2026.
