Determined according to the botanical key provided in Flora Europaea Vol. 4 (Tutin et al., 1976).
Distribution: Balkan peninsula, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (Marhold, 2011+).
Habitat: On Osogovo it is found in clearing and on the edges of oak forests from c. 500 m above sea level up to mid-altitudes (> 1000 m).
Lifeform: Perennial, chamaephyte according to the Raunkiaer system.
Flowering period: summer (JUN, JUL, AUG).
