Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Ball (1972 in Tutin et al.) and Kostadinovski (2021 in Matevski) as Lamium garganicum subsp. laevigatum Arcangeli. In The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: World Checklist of Selected Plant Families, 2010) this taxon is considered a synonym of Lamium garganicum subsp. garganicum.
Lifeform: Perennial plant. Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.
Distribution:Lamium garganicum L. is native from the Mediterranean region to Central and West Asia; subspecies garganicum is native from the Mediterranean to Southeast Europe, parts of West Asia and Central Asia according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).
Habitat: Woods, edges and clearings of forests, river gorges, from c. 400 – 1400 m altitude.
Recorded localities: Gorge of the Kochanska River (19.04.2023; 10.04.2023; 02.04.2023; 13.03.2021).
Flowering period: Late winter – spring: FEB, MAR, APR, MAY.
