Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.
Distribution: Native to Europe (Canary Islands, West, Central, South-East Europe), parts of West Asia (Turkey), and parts of North Africa according to the Euro+Med PlantBase (Marhold, 2011+).
Habitat: Found in open habitats- rocky terrains, hill grasslands, sparse shrubland.
Flowering period: Early spring: MAR.
