Taxonomy: Fam. Fabaceae// Genus: Medicago // Medicago arabica (L.) Huds.

Determined according to the botanical key provided in The Flora of the Republic of Macedonia (Micevski, 2001).

Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to Canary Islands, from West Europe to the Mediterranean Basin (in Europe, North Africa and West Asia) and Caucasus according to the Plants of the World Online portal.

Habitat:  Found in open habitats – grassland.

Flowering period:  Spring.
