Taxonomy: Fam. Rubiaceae// Genus: Cruciata// Species: Cruciata laevipes Opiz

Determined according to the botanical key provided in Flora Europaea Vol. 4 (Tutin et al., 1976).

Distribution: Europe, West Asia, West Himalaya (Plants of the World Online portal).

Habitat:  Grassland, shrub vegetation, sparse woods.

Lifeform: Perennial, chamaephyte according to the Raunkiaer system.

Flowering period: Spring – early summer : APR, MAY, JUN.
