Persicaria dubia (Stein) Fourr. (syn. Polygonum mite Schrank)

Taxonomy: Fam. Polygonaceae// Genus: Persicaria// Species: Persicaria dubia (Stein) Fourr.

Determined according to the botanical keys provided in Webb and Chater in Tutin et al. (1964) and Micevski (1995) as Polygonum mite Schrank, Baier. Fl. 1: 668 (1789). The accepted name in The Euro+Med PlantBase (Uotila, 2017) is  Persicaria dubia (Stein) Fourr., in Ann. Soc. Linn. Lyon, ser. 2 17: 146. 1869.

Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Europe to West Himalaya according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Found in wet habitats – on the banks of rivers and other bodies of water.

Flowering period: Late summer – early fall: AUG, SEP.
