Taxonomy: Apiaceae// Genus: Aethusa// Species: Aethusa cynapium L.

Determined according to the botanical key provided in Flora Europaea (Tutin et al., 1968).

Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Europe to Turkey and Caucasus according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Disturbed ground, near rivers, sparse woods.

Flowering period:  Summer (JUL, AUG).
