Taxonomy: Fam. Compositae// Genus: Artemisia// Species: Artemisia vulgaris L.

Determined according to the botanical key provided in Flora Europaea Vol. 4 (Tutin et al., 1976).

Lifeform:  Perennial – hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Temperate Eurasia to Indo-China, North Africa according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: River vegetation, disturbed ground, alongside roads, cultivated ground, wasteland.

Flowering period: Summer -early fall: AUG, SEP.
