Torilis japonica (Houtt.) DC.

Taxonomy: Apiaceae// Genus: Torilis// Species: Torilis japonica (Houtt.) DC.

Determined according to the botanical key provided by Cannon (1968 in Tutin at al.) and Micevski (2005 in Matevski).

Lifeform: Annual. Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to most of Europe and parts of Asia, from Turkey to China and Japan according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Among bushes, sparse woods, clearings of forests, along paths, mountain roads and disturbed ground, from the lowland up to c. 1400 m altitude.

Flowering period:  Summer: JUN, JUL, AUG.

Locality: Kormina region.

Locality: Gorge of “Kochanska” River.
