Lifeform: Perennial plant. Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Europe to Iran and  Central Asia according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Grasslands, clearings and edges of oak and European beech forests, from c. 850 up to 1500 m altitude.

Flowering period:  Summer (JUN, JUL, AUG).

Locality: Ponikva.
