Lifeform: Perennial plant. Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from South Europe to Turkey according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat:  Dry and open habitats- rocky terrains, river gorges, hill pastures, dry grasslands, clearings of oak forests.

Recorded localities: Kochani: ridge between the Kochanska and Orizarska Rivers, 19.09.2021; between the Golema and Orizarska Rivers, near village of Krushka, 21.08.2020; hills between the villages of Beli and Nivichani, 12.09.2021.

Flowering period: Summer to fall (AUG, SEP).
