Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Matevski (2021) and DeFilipps (1972 in Tutin et al.).

Lifeform: Perennial plant. Hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native from Southeast and East Europe to Iran, Northwest Africa according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Hill pastures, disturbed ground, roadsides.

Flowering period: Summer (JUN, JUL).
