Taxonomy: Fam. Scrophulariaceae// Genus: Verbascum// Species: Verbascum glabratum Friv.// Subspecies: Verbascum glabratum subsp. bosnense (K. Malý) Murb.

Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Nikolić in Josifović (1974) and Ferguson in Tutin et al. 1972. Differs from other subspecies in having flowers grouped in fascicles of 2 to 7 and basal leaves coarsely crenate or lobed, more or less pinnately incised towards the base.

Lifeform: Perrenial – hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to the Balkan Peninsula according to the distribution information provided by the the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Edges of forests, sparse woods in the oak forests zone.

Flowering period: Spring – summer: MAY, JUN.
