Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Fernandes in Tutin et al. (1972) and Matevski in Matevski (2021).

Lifeform: Perennial; hemicryptophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.

Distribution: Native from the Europe to Russian Far East and China- Xinjiang according to the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Habitat: Near rivers and other wet and shady habitats.

Flowering period: Spring: APR, MAY.
